I just replayed lost coast because why not. But I normally always turn off commentary, but this time I was like "β₯β₯β₯β₯ it, I'll see what that's like." and I've never had such an easy time playing a half life game. Every time you hit a commentary bubble it'll pause all enemies, and if one does pause, they do no damage to you anyway. It's ultra easy mode lol.

To be sure I didn't nuke anything important, I verified HL2. Curiously this recreated the lostcoast folder with the following contents even though I didn't have LC installed at this point, so the 'old' files must come from a HL2 base depot: Reinstalled LC. This brought back the other {client,server}.so pair. Launching LC at this point crashed
